Funk's greatest concept album, in which (as illustrated on the cover) Star Child (George Clinton) does battle with Sir Nose d'Voidoffunk, purveyor of 'placebo' (watered-down ineffective funk, i.e. disco) to the masses, and shoots him with his Bop Gun.

Parliament simply poured it on for this amazing record, clearly one of its all-time best. The amount of times this album has been sampled is uncountable, and it contains some of their finest tunes ever, including their signature song "Flash Light," which closes the album on a riotous high, and features a brilliant fake ending, silly singalongs, a synth-bassline to kill for from Bernie Worrell.
