One of the best books on music I've read in a long while. Strikes a nice balance between a) insightful analysis of the differences between the punk and postpunk scenes, b) enticing descriptions of the music, and c) entertainingly lurid & sordid accounts of what some of the creepier rock stars of the time got up to.
